The Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication to Abia State Governor Alex Otti, Dodoh Okafor, has predicted that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North in the National Assembly, will face disappointment in the 2027 elections.
Gossip News Now reports that Okafor made the remarks in response to Kalu’s criticism of Governor Otti’s performance in the state.
Okafor argued that Kalu appears to be relying on external influences to secure his victory, citing concerns that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia North and other voters might not support him.
He asserted that APC members in the state would actively oppose Kalu’s efforts and emphasized that Governor Otti is implementing high-quality projects that surpass those completed during Kalu’s tenure, positioning Otti strongly for a second term.
Okafor also claimed that any candidate endorsed by Governor Otti for any elective position in 2027 would have a high likelihood of winning.
“Kalu will be disappointed by the external powers he may be counting on because this time, everyone will be fighting for their political survival,” Okafor said.
“APC members in Abia will work fervently against Orji Kalu.
“Ultimately, any candidate endorsed by Dr. Otti for any position in 2027, including the Abia North Senatorial seat, already stands a 70% chance of victory,” he added.
