Sammy West, the brother of popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has shared a thought-provoking message on social media, emphasizing the importance of integrity and respect over material wealth.
Gossip News Now reports that West took to his Instagram story to reflect on the timeless adage that “a good name is better than riches,” noting that recent events have reminded him of its deeper meaning.
He wrote:
“When we had debates in secondary school on ‘A good name is better than riches’ — na now you go understand! I no dey worship money. RESPECT is a beautiful thing.”
His post comes amid ongoing controversy surrounding his sister, Regina Daniels, and her husband, billionaire politician Ned Nwoko.
In a viral video, Regina appeared distressed, claiming she could no longer endure alleged violence in her marriage. Sammy West also accused Nwoko of physically assaulting her, sparking widespread concern among fans and the entertainment community.
However, Nwoko, in a statement on his verified Instagram page, denied the allegations. He claimed that Regina’s alleged use of drugs and alcohol was the source of their marital problems, not domestic violence.
According to him, the actress had recently exhibited aggressive behavior — allegedly attacking domestic staff and damaging property, including vehicles and windows — within a short span.
He further revealed that he had arranged a rehabilitation program for her in Asokoro and abroad, but she reportedly declined to participate.
As the situation continues to unfold, Sammy West’s message about the value of character and respect appears to be a subtle reflection on the unfolding family drama.
