Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has broken his silence following his substitution in Los Blancos’ 2-1 triumph over FC Barcelona in Sunday’s LaLiga Clásico at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Though Real Madrid secured a crucial victory, Vinicius’ second-half substitution and his visible frustration as he left the pitch fueled speculation about his current mood at the club.
According to Gossip News Now, goals from Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham sealed the win for Madrid, extending their lead at the top of the league to five points over arch-rivals Barcelona.
Vinicius, who was replaced by Rodrygo in the 72nd minute, later expressed appreciation for the fans’ support despite the emotional scenes.
“That’s how El Clásico is — so many things happen on and off the pitch,” Vinicius said. “We try to stay balanced, though it’s not always easy. We didn’t mean to offend anyone — not the young players, not the fans. When we step onto the pitch, we give our all. Hala Madrid.”
Meanwhile, Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu has clinched the Turkish Super Lig Goal of the Month award for September, adding to his growing list of accolades at Trabzonspor.
The towering forward earned the honour for his superb strike in the club’s 4-2 win over Fatih Karagümrük on matchday seven — following his August win for a stunning effort against Samsunspor.
Since arriving from Southampton last summer, the 31-year-old has been in red-hot form, netting seven goals and one assist in 10 league matches, and currently leads the Turkish Super Lig scoring charts.
