The Federal Government has reopened the application portal for the 2025 Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) following months of delay.
The programme aims to empower young Nigerians through business grants, skills training, and mentorship to promote self-reliance and reduce unemployment.
Under the scheme, qualified applicants can access funding ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦500,000 to launch or expand businesses across selected sectors.
According to the organisers, YEIDEP is open to Nigerian youths aged 18 to 35 with valid NIN and BVN details, and active bank accounts with Lotus Bank, Keystone Bank, or Fidelity Bank. Applicants must also demonstrate genuine interest in one of the approved sectors, such as agriculture, fashion, technology, entertainment, sports, renewable energy, and other productive industries.
Successful beneficiaries will receive financial support alongside entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and business development services to ensure long-term success.
Registration will be conducted exclusively via the official YEIDEP portal, with applicants encouraged to follow the programme’s verified Facebook page for authentic updates.
The initiative was previously paused due to fraudulent attempts by scammers to exploit unsuspecting applicants. With the portal now reopened, the government has pledged a transparent and secure process to ensure only eligible young Nigerians benefit from the intervention.
