Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has criticised the All Progressives Congress (APC) over its position on developments in Osun State, questioning why a party that describes itself as “progressive” would oppose projects he believes are advancing the state.
Davido made the remarks on Monday after sharing a video showing the crowd that attended the inauguration of the Lagere Flyover in Ile-Ife by his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Reacting to the turnout on his 𝕏 handle, the singer praised the crowd and linked the project to what he described as progress in the state.
He wrote, “Jesus, see Ile-Ife crowd!! For @AAdeleke_01!!! Done deal! You can’t stop God’s project.
“APC is just backward. Why would they be doing anything to stop progress? Thought y’all were progressives.”
