Isabell Idibia, daughter of Nollywood actress Annie Idibia and music icon 2Baba, has shed more light on the close relationship between her mother and celebrity stylist Swanky Jerry.

Isabell made the revelation during an interview on Yanga FM 89.9 Lagos, where she dismissed suggestions that Annie and Swanky’s relationship is maintained mainly for public appearances.

According to her, the bond between the two goes beyond social media posts, red-carpet appearances and other moments in the public eye.

Speaking about the relationship, Isabell explained that Annie and Swanky Jerry are genuinely close and maintain contact away from public events.

She said they sometimes communicate through FaceTime and revealed that Swanky had also visited their home at one point.

“They are actually close; it is not just for the camera. Sometimes they are even on FaceTime. He was at the house some time ago, but I was asleep and couldn’t see him. That is my Uncle Swanky,” Isabell said.

Isabell also spoke about her father during the interview when she was asked to name her favourite song from 2Baba’s extensive catalogue. She selected his hit track, “Nfanga Ibaga.”
