Nigerian billionaire and senator, Ned Nwoko, has allegedly issued an arrest order against his mother-in-law, Rita Daniels, amid ongoing tensions with his wife, Regina Daniels, and her family.
According to reports gathered by Naija News, the situation between Nwoko and his actress wife has worsened since Regina reportedly moved out of their matrimonial home.
The senator had earlier accused Regina of substance abuse and claimed she was avoiding rehabilitation, following her public allegations of domestic violence against him.
In a social media post shared online, Rita Daniels alleged that Nwoko had instructed that she be arrested within days.
“Ned has issued an arrest warrant against me. I should be arrested on or before Monday,” she claimed.
This development follows the arrest of Regina’s brother, Sammy West, in Lagos on Monday. He was reportedly taken into custody by Nwoko’s security aides and flown to Abuja.
Reacting to her brother’s detention, Regina Daniels took to Instagram to allege that the arrest was a ploy to pressure her into returning home and submitting to the senator’s rehabilitation demand.
Meanwhile, Regina’s elder brother, Sweezy, also spoke out on social media, accusing Ned Nwoko of using intimidation tactics against their family.
He claimed that Sammy has been denied legal representation, food, and water, adding that Nwoko allegedly vowed to keep him detained until Regina returns to the marriage.
The unfolding family dispute continues to draw widespread attention, with many Nigerians calling for an independent investigation into the senator’s alleged actions.
