Nasarawa State Governor and Chairman of the North Central Governors’ Forum, Abdullahi Sule, has likened the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Noah’s Ark, describing the party as a safe haven for politicians committed to good governance.

Gossip News Now reports that Sule made the remarks at the APC Constitution Review meeting for the North Central zone held in Lafia on Thursday.

He stated that the reforms implemented under President Bola Tinubu have boosted public confidence in the party and attracted opposition leaders considering defection.

“There is no better time to look at the constitution of our party like now. At the next meeting of the Progressive Governors, we are welcoming another governor into our party. This is happening because our party… has become the Noah’s Ark. Anyone who wants to be part of good governance has to come and join,” Sule declared.

As the North Central coordinator of the APC Constitution Review Committee, Sule encouraged party stakeholders to use the ongoing process to submit memoranda aimed at addressing gaps in the party’s constitution.

“I want our stakeholders, in particular, to use the opportunity to submit as many memoranda for this amendment as possible. We will sit as members of this committee to review the memoranda and accommodate them,” he assured.

APC Leadership Commends Sule

Representing APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Deputy National Secretary Prof. Abdulkarim Abubakar Kana lauded Governor Sule for his consistent delivery of development across sectors.

“We must first thank the Governor of Nasarawa State for hosting us. He is a party-friendly governor. He has held very firmly and tightly the torch of victory for the party in the state. He has done very well. You are a model governor in the country. We are proud of you. The APC is happy with Nasarawa State,” Kana said.
