Fashion entrepreneur Sophia Momodu has opened up about her decision to stop posting images of her daughter, Imade Adeleke, on social media.
Gossip News Now reports that the 38-year-old addressed the matter during a Snapchat conversation with a follower who questioned why her pre-teen daughter has been noticeably absent from her online platforms.
Sophia said that as Imade gets older, safeguarding her has become increasingly important.
She described navigating her daughter’s digital presence as a serious responsibility, noting that she is now far more cautious about what she allows to go public.
The fan commented, “To post Imade na war.”
Sophia replied, “It’s a real struggle. I’ve become even more protective as she grows.”
Imade is the daughter of Nigerian music star Davido and Sophia Momodu.
Her explanation comes months after she had an online confrontation with social media users while Davido and his wife, Chioma, were celebrating their white wedding in Miami.
According to Gossip News Now, tension started when Sophia shared a Snapchat video of an American man speaking about dating a free-spirited woman.
Some commenters used the opportunity to advise her to get married and emulate Wizkid’s baby mamas, who often stay out of the spotlight.
One individual urged her to “calm down” and reduce her visibility online, but Sophia fired back, questioning why people who claim to dislike her still follow her activities so closely.
