Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, estranged wife of Nigerian lawmaker Senator Ned Nwoko, has reportedly tested positive for cocaine, marijuana, alcohol, morphine, opiates, and other hard substances.
Gossip News Now recalls that Nwoko had previously attributed their marital issues to Daniels’ alleged substance abuse.
According to Blueprint, a medical report from Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja, signed by Managing Director and Head of Clinical Services Dr. Adekunle Adesina, indicated that Daniels has been struggling with severe substance abuse and participated in a detoxification program from September 9 to October 15, 2025.
The report noted that the hospital’s psychological emergency unit was called to Nwoko’s residence on September 23 after Daniels reportedly went 48 hours without sleep and displayed aggressive behavior.
It detailed that the actress exhibited verbal aggression, agitation, anger, and incongruent affect, with her mood described as “elated and evasive.”
The hospital highlighted multiple challenges during the detox process, noting that Daniels made limited progress in withdrawing from substances because she “still had access to psychoactive substances, which hindered the treatment.”
The report listed specific obstacles, including frequent social outings and engagements, contact with friends and family who use drugs, unrestricted access during treatment, work-related activities, and superficial thrombophlebitis (inflammation of the veins).
