Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has shared his thoughts on the recent clash between VeryDarkMan and Mr Jollof aboard a United Nigerian flight.

Gossip News Now reports that the incident occurred on Monday, November 17, 2025, and resulted in the detention of both men by the Delta State Police Command.

In an Instagram video, Basketmouth expressed shock over two adults engaging in a physical fight in such a confined public space. He reflected on his long-standing disagreements with fellow comedian AY Makun, noting that despite their issues, it never escalated to punches.

“Like everybody else, I just saw the video of Mr Jollof and VDM fighting in a public space — not just anywhere, but inside a plane. Even in that tight space, these grown men still found room to fight. And I asked myself, how did we get here?” Basketmouth said.

He added, “Me and AY have had issues for a long time, but it never reached the point of exchanging punches. How embarrassing is this? Why can’t we just live in love and peace?”

The altercation reportedly stemmed from mounting tensions between the two men. The feud escalated after VeryDarkMan accused Mr Jollof’s wife of engaging with politicians and online fraudsters to support her husband’s political ambitions in Delta State, ultimately culminating in the in-flight confrontation and subsequent arrests.
