Nollywood actress Queen Nwokoye has opened up about why she has yet to collaborate with fellow actress Funke Akindele.
Gossip News Now reports that Nwokoye spoke during an interview with Seun Oloketuyi on Sunday, revealing that although Funke has invited her to appear in movies before, the timing was never right.
She also shared that while Toyin Abraham had reached out to her since 2016, they were only able to work together this year. “My family comes first when it comes to my career; Toyin has been calling me since 2016, and I just got to work with her this year. Funke has never done a movie without calling me, but the timing is always off,” Nwokoye explained.
The actress, who made her Nollywood debut in 2004, also reflected on her personal life, noting that she lost both parents in 2019 and has since focused on balancing her career with her family. “I started 2019 with my Mum and Dad, and within six months, I became an orphan. I still don’t know how I managed to pull through two burial ceremonies within six months. Today, I have made a decision to be happy and put everything behind me. God is in control,” she said.
Queen Nwokoye has been married to businessman Oluchi Uzoma since 2011, and the couple has three children together.
The actress is now set to feature in Toyin Abraham’s directorial debut, Oversabi Aunty.
