The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees aligned with Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, met in Abuja on Sunday to discuss the party’s internal direction.

In his opening remarks, BoT Chairman Senator Mao Ohuabunwa reiterated the group’s commitment to rebuilding trust within the party and ensuring that congresses are conducted in states where they are still pending.

He assured members that the national leadership is prepared to work closely with state chapters to strengthen structures, provide stable leadership, and reposition the party.

Ohuabunwa highlighted the roadmap ahead: completing overdue state congresses, consolidating ongoing reforms, and supporting the national leadership in restoring order and focus within the party.

He emphasized that these steps are essential for unity, transparency, and improved grassroots participation, noting that timely congresses and renewed internal discipline will help the PDP regain credibility ahead of future elections.
