The All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Delegate Congress Committee for Osun State has arrived in the state ahead of preparations for the party’s delegate congresses.

Chairman of the committee, Sheu Umar Dange, led the team on a courtesy visit to the state party leadership on Tuesday, December 9, at the APC secretariat along Osogbo-Gbongan Road.

Meeting with Osun APC chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, and local government party leaders, Dange reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to conducting a transparent and impartial exercise.

“We are prepared to hold delegate congresses across all 332 wards in the state. Our operations will be unbiased, and we encourage members to report any complaints so they can be addressed fairly,” Dange stated.

He emphasized the importance of stakeholder participation, describing it as a crucial contribution to strengthening the party’s electoral base.

Secretary of the committee, Chiedu Eluemunoh, noted that mechanisms are already in place to ensure a smooth process, including the deployment of necessary ad-hoc staff for the ward congresses. He clarified that only revalidated APC members in Osun would be eligible to vote.

“Membership alone does not guarantee participation. Only revalidated members are entitled to vote,” Eluemunoh explained.

He also announced that an Appeal Committee would handle complaints from aggrieved members, with sessions scheduled to begin on December 10.

In his remarks, Osun APC chairman Tajudeen Lawal welcomed the committee to the state and assured them of the full support of the State Working Committee to ensure the successful conduct of the congresses.
