Nollywood actress and politician Tonto Dikeh has shared a candid testimony about her journey to deliverance from prolonged struggles with demonic anger, smoking, alcohol, and masturbation.
Gossip News Now reports that Tonto spoke during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church, led by Pastor Jerry Eze, where she recounted how divine intervention transformed her life.
The actress revealed that she began smoking at 13 and battled alcohol and masturbation for many years. She described her appearance at the altar as both a moment of testimony and thanksgiving, admitting she almost hesitated due to concerns about public perception.
“I smoked since I was 13. God healed me from masturbation, too. I have known myself to have sexual intercourse in my dreams ever since I was a child,” Tonto said.
She also spoke about the demonic anger that plagued her life, stating, “I struggled with demonic anger, an anger that destroyed my life. Everybody had to feel it. But praying with NSPPD, God took all of those away and gave me peace. The devil tried to tell me that I was supposed to protect my image. But I told myself, what image? The God that gave me the image is the same God that can take it away.”
Tonto further shared that attending the Ghana Prayer Conference marked a turning point in her battle with spiritual oppression. “I realised that the weak man who held me captive all my years in my dreams ran away,” she said.
Reflecting on her newfound peace, she noted, “I am 40 years old, and I can tell you I have never known peace until now. I am living in it.”
She also highlighted the influence of parental habits on children, explaining her 27-year smoking habit began from exposure at home. “I started smoking because my dad was a smoker. Something as little as that habit can inhabit the lives of your children. My body does not ask for it. My body is repelling it. Today, it is broken,” Tonto said.
Her testimony underscores a journey of spiritual liberation, personal growth, and the transformative power of faith.
