Afrobeats superstar Davido has highlighted the next generation of artistes he believes will carry the genre forward, following in the footsteps of himself, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, widely known as the “Big 3.”

According to Gossip News Now , Davido singled out Asake, Rema, and Omah Lay as the rising stars set to take Afrobeats to new heights.

The DMW boss shared his thoughts during a recent livestream with popular streamer Carter Efe. He also revealed some of his dream collaborations, expressing interest in working with global stars like Rihanna and Kehlani.

“Asake, Omah Lay, and Rema are the next GOATs of Afrobeats. I would love to do a song with Rihanna; I think we’d make some dope music. Kehlani too,” Davido said.

In a related note, Davido opened up about his collaboration with Omah Lay, explaining that it was meant to clear up misconceptions about their relationship.

Gossip News Now recalls that in 2024, Omah Lay admitted he once thought Davido “hated” him—until Davido played his songs during a livestream with American streamer Kai Cenat in Lagos. Following that interaction and a tweet from Omah Lay, Davido reached out, leading to their joint track, With You.
