Nigerian comedian and content creator Carter Efe has hit a major roadblock after Twitch temporarily suspended his account, just days after his historic livestream with Afrobeats superstar Davido.

The suspension, confirmed on Monday, comes shortly after what was widely hailed as a career-defining moment for Carter Efe, who recently became Africa’s most-followed Twitch streamer.

Carter Efe’s Twitch channel experienced unprecedented growth following the December 17, 2025 livestream with Davido, attracting massive attention across social media. The broadcast not only ranked among the most-watched Twitch streams by an African creator but also pushed his follower count past 405,000, surpassing other Nigerian content creators, including Shank Comics.
