Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has opened up about the ongoing controversy with Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of the Grace Nation Bible Ministry, revealing that resolution discussions are still in progress.
According to reports, Ogala was detained by the Lagos State Police on Saturday after publicly calling out Pastor Okafor over allegations that he failed to fulfill a marriage commitment to her. She was subsequently released on Monday after spending two nights in custody, during which the pastor reportedly sought a peaceful resolution.
Speaking via Instagram on Wednesday, Doris explained that negotiations are ongoing and expressed her intention to proceed carefully:
“Talks are currently ongoing, and the resolution process is still in progress. I am still in Lagos and not yet back in Abuja. I want to understand where this is heading and see the conclusion of these discussions. I will seek God’s guidance to know the next steps because at this moment, I am unsure of what to do. I want to act with wisdom because I have a lot to say, a lot to reveal, and many lessons the world should learn from this.”
She emphasized that while she has significant information to share, she is mindful of the consequences:
“I don’t want to have anyone’s blood on my hands. The situation is far more serious than people realize. What I posted online is only a fraction of what I intended to say before my arrest. I will leave everything in God’s hands, pray, and seek His direction. I am not afraid of anyone, nor am I afraid of going to jail. My only goal is to speak my truth, and I will do so.”
Ogala’s statements reflect her commitment to resolving the matter peacefully while remaining determined to ensure her voice is heard.
