Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has announced her decision to quit movie production after revealing that she has invested over ₦80 million without making any profit.

According to the actress, she has been funding film projects since September, yet has not earned a return on her investments. The financial strain has prompted her to consider stepping away from production and focusing on other ventures, including traveling.

Nkechi explained that despite her dedication to producing quality films, audiences often overlook movies that are not heavily promoted, making it difficult for her to recoup her expenses.

“I no do again abeg. Make I go back to flying round the world. As una no gree watch film if the movie is not overhyped, I don try the ones we were there for self no even fit help. I am done abeg!” she lamented.

Fans and colleagues quickly responded to her statement online. Actress Tonto Dikeh urged Nkechi not to give up, offering support to help promote her work more widely.

“Give up? Who is permitting that sin? Not on my watch. What do we do? Post it, send it to your friends. We will share it everywhere. You are a helper and we will do the same for you effortlessly. We don’t accept defeat here,” Tonto wrote.
