The family of Nollywood actress and movie producer Allwell Ademola has expressed profound sorrow over her passing, confirming that she was 49 years old at the time of her death.

This clarification comes after earlier reports in the entertainment industry mistakenly suggested that she died at 43. Ademola reportedly suffered a heart attack at her residence before being rushed to the hospital.

In a statement released on Sunday, signed by Adeboyega Adebayo on behalf of the Ademola family, it was revealed that the late actress passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

The family described Allwell as a proud member of the Ademola family of Ogun State and a great-granddaughter of the Alake of Egbaland, highlighting her deep commitment to the creative arts. They expressed gratitude to colleagues, friends, and well-wishers for their support since the news of her death broke.

The statement reads:

“With heavy hearts and total submission to the will of God, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, mother, and aunt, Princess Allwell Ademola, who departed this life on Saturday, the 27th day of December, 2025, at the age of 49.

From childhood until her passing, she distinguished herself as a thespian, actor, singer, and filmmaker, touching many lives through her art, talent, and unwavering dedication to the creative industry.

The Ademola family sincerely appreciates the overwhelming love, prayers, and messages of condolence from her colleagues, friends, and well-wishers across the world during this difficult time.”
