The dispute reportedly began in October 2023, when Davido liked a post on X labeling Phyna’s fans as “useless.” This action sparked immediate controversy, prompting Phyna to question the singer’s apparent attitude toward her. Davido later clarified that he did not know her, a statement that intensified the tension and led Phyna to unfollow him on Instagram.

During a recent Twitch livestream, Phyna revealed her willingness to offer a public apology to Davido, expressing a desire to resolve lingering misunderstandings. She emphasized that clarity on the root cause of their fallout is essential before fully reconciling.

Phyna explained that she wants Davido to share his side of the story first, to ensure both parties address the situation properly. She said:

“If I get the chance to stream with Davido, I’ll take it. He’s my senior, of course, and that’s normal. I’m ready to apologize to him, but before doing that, we need to understand where our quarrel really came from. Like Baba Ibeji needs to explain whether liking that comment was a mistake. Then he can share his side, because when he said he didn’t know me, it might be that we misunderstood what he meant.”
