Cross Okonkwo, the former Big Brother Naija housemate, has revealed that he recently lost a job opportunity because he publicly expresses his Christian faith. The 34-year-old reality TV personality explained that the decision was influenced by his outspoken devotion to Jesus Christ on social media. Although he did not name the company or role, Cross made it clear that he refuses to compromise his beliefs for money or recognition.
In a post shared on X, Cross emphasized that his faith guides his decisions, even if it means forgoing lucrative offers. “You are mad and don’t want to work with me because I have made my faith in Jesus Christ very clear and bold,” he wrote, adding a playful warning: “One day I will buy your company and buy everything you own.”
He also reflected on the transformation he has undergone since leaving the BBNaija house. “I think a lot of people still think I’m the same guy that was in the Big Brother house. It may be the same body, face, image but definitely not the same spirit and soul,” he stated, highlighting the growth in his character and personal values.
Cross went on to stress that wealth and fame do not define him. “I will NEVER do anything evil for money. Even if I become the poorest or the brokest human being on earth. I don’t care about fame. All wealth belongs to my father. He alone has the secret to all things,” he added.
The former housemate also addressed comparisons with other BBNaija alumni, reminding followers that each person has their own journey: “Please don’t ever compare me to any of my fellow Big Brother siblings. We all have different views on life. I love every one of them, and I wish everyone the best.”
Cross rose to prominence during BBNaija Season 7 and has consistently shared his Christian faith with his audience, maintaining a focus on integrity and spiritual growth over material gain.
