‘Continuing With Tinubu’s Leadership Is Too Frightening to Imagine’

The National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has stated that the thought of Nigerians remaining under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu and the APC-led administration is deeply unsettling.

Abdullahi made the comment during his appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, while responding to questions about the ADC coalition.

Reflecting on the party’s journey, he described 2025 as a remarkable year for the ADC, recalling how many initially dismissed and mocked its formation.

He emphasized that the party has continued to strengthen and now represents one of the fastest-growing political movements in Nigeria’s history.

According to Abdullahi:
“The possibility of Nigerians having to continue with what the current APC government under President Bola Tinubu is doing is too scary to even imagine.

“The year 2025 was a very positive one for the ADC family. When we began in July last year, many believed we would crash almost immediately. Even the ruling party laughed at us.

“They said the coalition would collapse before anyone noticed, but seven months later, in 2026, we are stronger than ever.

“I am confident that if political scientists were to examine the development of political parties in Nigeria, they would confirm that the ADC has achieved one of the fastest growth trajectories in the nation’s political history.”
