The Lagos State High Court, Ikeja, has directed Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse (popularly known as VDM), and Kelvin Chimaobi Emmanuel to immediately cease posting videos, pictures, or any content involving Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation International (also called Liberation City), on social media or any other media platforms.
Justice Akintunde Savage issued the ruling on Thursday, further instructing Doris Ogala and VDM not to mention or make references to Pastor Chris or his ministry—either verbally or in writing—on any platform, until the court reaches a decision in the substantive suit filed by the cleric.
The judge also prohibited the defendants from releasing materials allegedly intended to blackmail or extort money from Pastor Okafor or otherwise circulate them to the public or third parties, pending the outcome of the case.
Pastor Chris Okafor is the claimant in the suit filed under ID/14399GCMW/2026, while Doris Ogala, VDM, and Kelvin Emmanuel are named as the first, second, and third defendants, respectively.
The ex parte application was filed under Order 43, Rules 1, 2, and 7 of the High Court of Lagos State (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019 and the court’s inherent jurisdiction.
In his ruling on the application, filed through Pastor Okafor’s lawyer, Ife Ajayi, Justice Savage also barred the defendants and their representatives from publishing, sharing, or circulating any alleged private content about the claimant, including chats, conversations, text messages, photos, images, or videos.
Additionally, the judge approved a substituted service of the claimant’s originating processes, including the writ of summons, witness lists, sworn statements, and other court documents, via publication in a national newspaper.
The case has been adjourned to February 2, 2026, for further hearing.
