The Rivers State Government has dismissed allegations suggesting that Governor Siminalayi Fubara authorised the removal of President Bola Tinubu’s official portrait from the Government House, describing the reports as inaccurate and politically motivated.

The controversy followed statements attributed to the state chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), which claimed the governor had taken actions interpreted as disrespectful to the presidency. State officials, however, insist no such directive was ever issued.
