Popular small-statured Nollywood actress, Aunty Ajara, has reportedly been hospitalised in critical condition following complications from an undisclosed illness.
Reports indicate that the troubling update was shared by her colleague, Wunmi Toriola, in a heartfelt post on her Instagram page on Wednesday.
Wunmi posted a video showing Aunty Ajara lying weakly on a hospital bed, revealing that her health has significantly worsened despite ongoing medical treatment.
According to her, the Yoruba actress has spent a substantial amount of money on medical care, with generous contributions from fellow actors, celebrities, and kind-hearted individuals. However, despite these efforts, her condition continues to decline.
Moved by the situation, Wunmi Toriola made an emotional appeal to Nigerians, calling for urgent financial assistance to help sustain Aunty Ajara’s treatment and keep her alive.
In her words, she wrote:
“I’m not sure I’ve ever done this before, and it truly breaks my heart to do so. Many of us have genuinely tried our best.
Ajarah needs our support. Please, we need help.
Her condition has become more critical despite all efforts so far. So much has already been spent on her treatment, thanks to the generosity of celebrities, actors, and kind individuals, yet the situation is worsening.
