Uche Ogbodo Blames Men For Majority Of Marital Failures

Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has stirred conversation online after stating that men are largely responsible for most broken marriages.

In a post shared via her Instagram story, the actress reflected on what she believes leads to the collapse of many unions. According to her, neglect, infidelity, emotional abuse, betrayal, and a lack of value for spouses are recurring issues that contribute significantly to marital breakdowns.

Ogbodo argued that accountability is often missing in relationships, adding that when individuals — particularly men — refuse to take responsibility for their actions, the damage within marriages becomes worse. She claimed that men account for “95 per cent” of failed marriages, insisting that emotional harm and trust issues are key factors behind many separations.

The actress, who is now in her second marriage, tied the knot with Bobby Maris in October 2023. Her first marriage to Norway-based football agent Ato Ubby in 2013 ended less than a year after it began.

Meanwhile, in a separate development within the entertainment industry, filmmaker Onyeka Nwelue has refuted rumours suggesting that former Big Brother Naija stars Bambam and Teddy A are experiencing marital trouble.

Speculation about the couple’s relationship recently gained momentum after fans noticed that both reality TV personalities unfollowed each other on Instagram. Observers also pointed out that Teddy A had deleted photos of Bambam from his social media page, further fueling breakup rumours.

However, Nwelue has dismissed the claims, downplaying the online assumptions surrounding the couple’s marriage.
