ADC Announces 50-Member ‘Wise Men and Women’ Policy and Manifesto Committee Appoints Oyegun Utomi Sam Amadi Among Others

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unveiled its 50-member Wise Men and Women Policy and Manifesto Committee following approval from the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

Gossip News Now reports that the committee received formal endorsement from ADC National Chairman, Senator David Mark, as part of the party’s commitment to crafting a credible, people-centred, and forward-looking policy platform for national governance.

The newly constituted Policy and Manifesto Committee brings together a distinguished group of Nigerians from diverse backgrounds, including former public office holders, academics, technocrats, policy experts, civil society leaders, and seasoned professionals. Collectively, members possess extensive experience in governance, economic management, social development, security, and democratic reform.

The committee will be chaired by former Edo State Governor Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, with Professor Pat Utomi serving as Deputy Chairman, and Salihu Lukman as Secretary.

According to the party, the committee’s mandate is to develop a clear, coherent, and credible policy framework that reflects the aspirations of Nigerians while positioning the ADC as a serious alternative for responsible leadership and national renewal.

The formal inauguration of the committee is scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2026, at 12 noon, at the Conference Hall of the ADC National Secretariat in Abuja.

A statement signed by ADC National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi added:
“The ADC reaffirms its belief that Nigeria’s challenges require ideas rooted in competence, integrity, and national consensus. We are confident that this committee will deliver a manifesto that addresses the real needs of Nigerians. All members and relevant stakeholders are advised to take note.”
