At the back, Semi Ajayi’s potential suspension could influence tactical decisions, with Chelle possibly deploying Zaidu Sanusi at full-back to mitigate risk.

Between the posts, Stanley Nwabali was cautioned for time-wasting against Tunisia. Another yellow card would see him miss the knockout stage, with Francis Uzoho ready to take over if required.

Nigeria has already secured a place in the Round of 16 following wins over Tanzania and Tunisia. A victory against Uganda would see the Super Eagles finish Group C with a perfect nine points, further asserting their credentials in AFCON 2025.
