APC Launches Nationwide Digital Membership Registration Outlines Eligibility Criteria

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun a nationwide electronic membership registration exercise, urging party members and supporters across Nigeria to participate in the initiative.

National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made the announcement on Friday, January 22, highlighting that the exercise is ongoing in Delta State, across other states, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The APC explained that the exercise spans all wards nationwide, requiring existing members to validate their membership records, while new and intending members are encouraged to register officially and join the party.

“All party stakeholders, supporters, and members – old and new – are invited to participate in the ongoing APC Membership Electronic-Registration Exercise,” Morka said.

Eligibility Requirements

The APC outlined that prospective registrants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).

“The requirements are aimed at ensuring the credibility and integrity of the party’s membership database,” the statement read.

Purpose of the E-Registration

Morka explained that the electronic registration initiative is designed to digitise the party’s membership register, strengthen internal party administration, and enhance access to accurate membership data for planning and management purposes.

“The e-registration exercise is designed to digitise the party’s membership register, ensure integrity of records, enhance efficient access to membership data for planning and management decisions, promote internal democracy, and strengthen the party’s commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria,” Morka said.

He added that the exercise reflects the APC’s commitment to modernising political engagement and promoting internal democracy within the party.

Call to Nigerians

The APC encouraged Nigerians who share its ideology to take advantage of the exercise and become part of what the party described as Nigeria’s progressive family.

“Register now as a member of APC, and join Nigeria’s Progressive Family,” the party spokesman said.

Further details regarding registration centres and procedures will be communicated through ward and state party structures nationwide.
