Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has shared her vision for her ideal wedding, revealing that she prefers a small, intimate ceremony over a grand event.
In a recent interview with her rumored fiancé, VJ Adams, Ademoye disclosed that she might hold her wedding in Ebute-Meta, Lagos, the neighborhood where she grew up.
“I want a very, very small wedding. I want like angels falling down from the sky. I would probably take it to Ebute-Meta where I grew up,” she said, adding that her upbringing in the area played a significant role in shaping her life.
On parenting, Ademoye revealed that she plans to adopt her father’s approach, noting that she was raised singlehandedly by him.
The actress is reportedly dating and engaged to VJ Adams, although neither has officially confirmed the engagement.
Meanwhile, Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has sparked conversation with his views on wealth and relationships, suggesting that women who are wealthier than their partners may struggle with submission.
Speaking on the podcast The Honest Bunch, Darlington said:
“You cannot tell me that a woman worth multimillions will be submissive to her husband. Power does not like to submit. I am not very rich but proud of what I have. Now, imagine a wealthy woman with houses in Lagos and in the village; she definitely can’t be submissive. She might say it to get married, but deep down, she won’t be. There will be issues if your woman earns more than you. As a man, try your best not to let that happen—otherwise, it could lead to conflicts.”
Darlington emphasized that he prefers women who are supportive and submissive, rather than financially independent partners who might challenge traditional relationship dynamics.
