The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the 2025 CAF Awards will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

In an official statement released on Friday via its website, CAF announced that the annual celebration of African football excellence will commence at 7 p.m. local time, which is the same time in Nigeria.

“The CAF Awards 2025 will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, starting from 19:00 local time,” the statement read.

Rabat, known for its cultural heritage and hospitality, has become a regular host for major CAF events. The city will once again welcome Africa’s finest football stars, coaches, and administrators for what promises to be a spectacular night of recognition and celebration.

This year’s edition is expected to see strong Nigerian representation, with Super Eagles and Super Falcons players featuring prominently among the nominees.

Victor Osimhen, the 2023 African Player of the Year, will aim to retain his crown following another standout season in Europe. Meanwhile, Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, who impressed during the 2024 AFCON, has been nominated for Goalkeeper of the Year. Rising star Daniel Bameyi also earned a nomination for Young Player of the Year.

In the women’s categories, Rasheedat Ajibade of Atlético Madrid and Esther Okoronkwo are both shortlisted for African Women’s Player of the Year, while Chiamaka Nnadozie, the Paris FC and Super Falcons goalkeeper, made the final list for Goalkeeper of the Year.

Other notable nominees include Mohamed Salah (Egypt), Achraf Hakimi and Yassine Bounou (Morocco), as well as Pape Matar Sarr (Senegal).

The 2025 CAF Awards will also honour winners in several other categories, including Coach of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Club of the Year, and National Team of the Year.
