Nollywood actress Judy Austin has warned young women against rushing into marriage before they are emotionally and mentally prepared.

Drawing from her personal experiences, she highlighted the dangers of early marriage, including divorce and the difficulties of raising children alone.

Gossip News Now reports that in a video shared on her Instagram page, Austin advised women not to marry a man solely because of pregnancy, noting that such decisions often lead to regret.

She encouraged women to reflect on whether they can truly spend a lifetime with a partner before committing to marriage.

According to Austin, mental readiness is crucial for managing the responsibilities and challenges that come with a marital relationship.

The actress also stressed the importance of personal growth before marriage, urging women to date, learn about people, and place trust primarily in themselves and in God.

She advised that focusing on self-reliance, career, and emotional preparedness can help women make wiser choices in relationships.

Austin reflected on the consequences of marrying too early, observing that many women end up divorced or struggle to care for children they are unprepared for.

She noted that early marriages have caused pain for numerous women, with some disappearing after childbirth due to overwhelming pressures.

Judy Austin married Yul Edochie as his second wife in April 2022, and the couple now has three children.

She was previously married, but that marriage ended in 2013.
