Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has addressed remarks made by fellow actress Funke Akindele, who jokingly claimed that Badmus uses government funds to purchase jewellery and designer bags.
Gossip News Now reports that Badmus currently serves as Special Assistant on Social Events and Public Hearing to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.
In a viral video, Akindele teased Badmus, suggesting that she relied on government money for her luxurious items.
In response, Badmus clarified that all her wealth is derived from her personal earnings, emphasizing that no government funds contribute to her purchases.
She also noted that everything she wears, including her jewellery and bags, is locally made and bought with her own money.
Funke reportedly said, “You used all the government money to buy jewellery.”
Eniola Badmus replied, “Your money isn’t in my hands o, please. I don’t know what you’re talking about. Everything I’m wearing is locally made, and I bought them with my own money.”
In related entertainment news, Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, spoke out against what she perceives as unprofessional conduct in the film industry, particularly by actors who refuse to support the promotion of movies they star in.

She described such behavior as unfair and disrespectful, highlighting that it undermines the effort and resources invested in making the film.
