Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for September 2025, following a string of outstanding performances that underlined his dominance in front of goal.

During September, Haaland netted five goals and provided one assist in just three appearances, helping Manchester City bounce back from a slow start to the season. The Norwegian star found the back of the net against Arsenal and Manchester United, spearheading Pep Guardiola’s side to crucial victories.

“I’m really happy to win this award for a fourth time,” Haaland told City’s media team. “It always means a lot. Thank you to everyone who voted for me, and to my teammates, coaches, and staff — we do everything together.”

Haaland emphasized the importance of the team’s collective effort, adding:

“September was an important month for us. We played some really good football, stayed unbeaten, and got big wins for our fans. I’m happy I could help with goals and performances. Now we just keep going — there’s a tough schedule ahead, but we’ll work hard and aim to keep winning.”

Currently, the 25-year-old leads the Premier League scoring chart with nine goals, ahead of Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo and Jaidon Anthony. Across all competitions, Haaland has already scored 12 goals in nine appearances this season, further cementing his status as one of world football’s most prolific forwards.

This latest accolade marks Haaland’s fourth Player of the Month award, placing him in elite company alongside legends such as Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, and Frank Lampard. Only eight players in Premier League history have won the award more times.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner was named Manager of the Month after guiding his team through an unbeaten September — including a draw against Sunderland and victories over West Ham United and Liverpool. It is Palace’s first managerial monthly award since Tony Pulis in April 2014.
