Veteran Nollywood actress and evangelist Eucharia Anunobi has publicly addressed the controversy surrounding a leaked audio clip that linked her name to Apostle Chikere Nwafor. The recording, which also involved Pastor Martins (also known as Martin Ugbulu) and Apostle Psalm Okpe, circulated widely on social media, raising questions among fans and church communities.
The clip contained unverified claims about the Apostle and made reference to Eucharia, along with insinuations about a woman’s alleged inappropriate behavior during a private matter. No concrete evidence was provided to substantiate these allegations, fueling online speculation.
Following the leak, Apostle Psalm Okpe apologized, acknowledging that the conversation was based on hearsay and should not have been shared publicly.
In a live video, Eucharia responded decisively, asserting that the audio was intended to tarnish her reputation, but that the attempt had failed. She warned bloggers and critics against spreading false or harmful content online.
“They wanted to rubbish my name, but God came through. There was a plan to stain my image, but it failed. Every mouth that has spoken evil against you, God will silence them forever,” she said.
Her statement received widespread support from fans, who condemned the dissemination of unverified recordings and emphasized the potential harm such actions can cause to public figures.
Eucharia Anunobi, who gained prominence in Nollywood during the 1990s, has starred in numerous films and also serves as an evangelist and public speaker. She previously held the position of president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria and remains a respected figure in both the entertainment and faith communities.
