‘Fake Alfa Prophet You Will Die In My Place’ – Saheed Osupa Fires Back At Islamic Cleric

Legendary Fuji musician Saheed Osupa has responded to a controversial Islamic cleric, popularly called Alfa Olopa Meta, following a death prophecy issued about him.

According to Gossip News Now , the cleric had predicted that Osupa would die on January 10, 2026.

He further claimed he had interceded on Osupa’s behalf and instructed the singer to buy a large ram for special prayers.

However, during a live performance on Sunday, January 11, 2026, Osupa dismissed the prophecy and declared that anyone wishing him dead would face the same fate instead.

He said:
“Fake Alfa and prophet, please stop wishing me dead. Anyone who wishes death upon me will die in my place.
Close enemies, hidden enemies, enemies around my career and those in my neighborhood — be careful what you wish for, because you will die before me.”

In another development, Saheed Osupa recently expressed gratitude to Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy after the singer described him as his “greatest musician of all time” (GOAT).

Gossip News Now reports that Burna Boy, during a conversation with tennis icon Roger Federer, stated that his GOAT vocalists are predominantly Fuji artistes, naming Osupa among them.

Reacting on his 𝕏 handle, Osupa thanked Burna Boy for the recognition, saying the praise was a historic moment that honored the core essence and enduring impact of Fuji music.

He emphasized that the acknowledgment not only validates his personal journey but also elevates the cultural legacy of Fuji music, creating a bridge between generations and musical genres worldwide.

The Fuji icon added that he looks forward to attending one of Burna Boy’s future performances.
