James Abiodun Faleke, Member of the House of Representatives for Ikeja Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Finance, has alleged that Nigeria’s currency redesign was orchestrated to stop President Bola Tinubu from winning the 2023 election.

Faleke made the claim while speaking to journalists during the supervision of rice distribution for the less privileged and PBAT Supporters at the annual Christmas support event organized by the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) in Abuja.

Describing President Tinubu as a divinely anointed leader, Faleke stated:

“Despite all the challenges and crises, including the Naira redesign, which was aimed at preventing Bola Tinubu from winning, he emerged victorious. At that time, many of us couldn’t even afford basic necessities like bread because cash was scarce. But God, who has anointed Bola Tinubu, ensured his victory. Congratulations to all of us.”

He emphasized that the Naira redesign had created significant hardship during the election period, but Tinubu’s triumph demonstrated resilience and divine favor.
