A former North West Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ibrahim Manzo, has officially resigned his membership of the party.

Manzo, who previously served as Commissioner for Health, Commissioner for Agriculture, Amirul Hajj of Kebbi State, and also as a deputy governorship candidate under the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), announced his decision in a resignation letter dated September 16, 2025.


Details of the Resignation

The letter, addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Dikko Ward, Argungu Local Government Area, was also copied to both the local government and state chairmen.

Manzo described his resignation as a personal and carefully considered decision.

“I write to formally inform you of my resignation from the PDP with immediate effect. My decision is personal and based on careful considerations. I sincerely appreciate the support, cooperation, and kindness I have enjoyed from the party, its leadership, and members during my time as a member,” the letter read.
