The Janaza (funeral) prayer for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif “Latz” Ayodele, close associates of British-Nigerian boxing champion Anthony Joshua, has been set for Sunday, January 4, 2026, in London.
According to a statement from Boxing King Media, the service will take place at the London Central Mosque, 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG, beginning at 10 a.m.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones,” the statement read.
Ghami and Ayodele, who served as Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer respectively, were repatriated to the United Kingdom following a fatal road accident in Nigeria last December.
The tragic crash occurred on December 29, 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State. The Lexus SUV transporting Joshua and his team collided with a stationary truck, resulting in the immediate deaths of both men. Joshua survived with minor injuries.
The incident sent ripples through the international boxing community, prompting tributes from athletes, fans, and sporting bodies worldwide.
The funeral in London is expected to draw members of the boxing fraternity, friends, and supporters to pay their final respects to the late Ghami and Ayodele.
