Nollywood actress Liz DaSilva has revealed a near-death experience she had during a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan, breaking down in tears as she recounted how she narrowly avoided danger.
MRI machines use strong magnets to capture detailed body images, and patients are strictly warned against carrying metal objects, as they can be violently pulled by the magnet and cause severe injury.
In a video shared on Instagram Tuesday, DaSilva explained that she almost forgot to remove metal pins hidden inside her wig before entering the MRI machine.
“I had taken off my earrings, bra, waist beads, and chain. I was almost ready to go in, but suddenly remembered there were pins in my wig. I quickly told the attendant, and she confirmed she was about to ask me,” the actress recounted.
Overcome with emotion, Liz broke down in tears, switching to Yoruba as she declared:
“Truly, God saved me. I am not ashamed to say it. What would have happened if I had entered with the pins? Maybe I would not be here today.”
She stressed that sharing her story was important to warn others about the risks, while expressing gratitude to God for what she described as divine protection.
