“I Don’t Get Women Pregnant Carelessly Anymore” — 2Baba Opens Up

Veteran Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has addressed long-standing public perceptions about his personal life, particularly claims surrounding fathering children with multiple women.

The singer, who has previously welcomed children with different partners, said he has turned a new page and no longer lives recklessly. He made the revelation while speaking to fans in Benin City during the MC EdoPikin Undiluted with StarBoy and Legends show.

Moments before stepping on stage, 2Baba told the audience he had an important confession to make, stressing that he has deliberately changed his lifestyle.

According to him, he now makes it a point to clarify this narrative everywhere he goes in order to correct public assumptions about his past.

“But I get a confession,” the singer said in Pidgin. “I dey make this confession everywhere now to set the record straight. I don stop that kind thing. I no dey give belle anyhow again. Ask anybody now, dem go tell you say I be innocent.”

2Baba’s personal life has often been a subject of public discussion. His first known partner, Sumbo Adeoye, had two sons—Zion and Nino—with him before their relationship ended around 2009 following reports of other relationships.

He later had three children with Pero Adeniyi between 2006 and 2012. The music icon also shares two daughters with his former wife, actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia, whom he was married to until their separation in 2025.

More recently, the singer welcomed a child with his current partner, Natasha Osawaru, marking a new chapter in his personal life.
