Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has addressed rumors linking her to Annie Idibia, the estranged wife of Nigerian music legend 2Baba.

The speculation arose after Yvonne was seen supporting 2Baba’s new wife, Natasha, following his separation from Annie, which led to online backlash.

In an interview with NaijaFM 102.7, Yvonne clarified that the rumored friendship with Annie is untrue. According to the actress, aside from appearing in the music video for 2Baba’s hit song African Queen, she and Annie have never been seen together or shared mutual friends.

She stated, “Apart from the video for African Queen, I don’t think anybody has seen us together before. We don’t have common friends. I don’t have a friendship relationship with Annie. I don’t know where they are getting that narrative from. Back then, I only walked into a studio, did my part for the video, and left.”

Yvonne also addressed claims about social media interactions, emphasizing that neither she nor Annie follow each other online. “I don’t understand where the narrative of us unfollowing each other is coming from,” she added, putting to rest any assumptions of a bond beyond the music video.
