Strasbourg head coach Liam Rosenior has addressed speculation linking him to the vacant managerial role at Chelsea, emphasizing that his focus remains firmly on his current role in France.

Following Enzo Maresca’s departure from Stamford Bridge, several reports suggested Rosenior could be a top contender for the Chelsea job. However, ahead of Strasbourg’s Ligue 1 clash with Nice on Saturday, the English tactician reiterated his commitment to the French side.

“I don’t take notice. If you’re a manager and you pay attention to all the media talk, you’d probably go crazy,” Rosenior said. “My job is here. I love this club, and my priority is to win tomorrow’s game. The speculation is a reflection of the great work everyone at this club has done.”

When asked whether he sees himself at Strasbourg six months from now, Rosenior was measured in his response. “You cannot guarantee anything in life. I’ve had interest from other clubs, and I’ve always been transparent with Strasbourg. My focus is on the job I’m doing, but it’s impossible to say definitively where I’ll be in the future,” he added.

Rosenior began his full-time managerial career at Hull City in November 2022. Strasbourg, his current club, is owned by BlueCo, Chelsea’s parent company, adding an interesting layer to the speculation linking him to Stamford Bridge.
