Amid growing reports connecting his name to Chelsea’s vacant managerial position, Strasbourg boss Liam Rosenior has made it clear that his immediate attention remains with his current club in France.

Speculation intensified after Enzo Maresca exited Stamford Bridge, with Rosenior reportedly emerging as one of the leading candidates to take over. The connection has drawn added interest given Strasbourg’s ownership by BlueCo, the same consortium that controls Chelsea.

Speaking ahead of Strasbourg’s Ligue 1 fixture against Nice on Saturday, the English coach dismissed the rumors as distractions. He stressed that dwelling on media talk would be counterproductive for any manager.

“If you’re constantly listening to speculation, it can drive you mad,” Rosenior explained. “My responsibility is here. I care deeply about this club, and my focus is entirely on preparing the team to win tomorrow. The rumors are simply recognition of the strong work being done across the club.”

While reaffirming his commitment, Rosenior stopped short of making long-term promises about his future. When questioned about where he sees himself in six months, he acknowledged the unpredictable nature of football management.

“No one can promise what the future holds,” he said. “There has been interest before, and I’ve always been open with Strasbourg about it. Right now, I’m fully concentrated on my role, but it’s impossible to guarantee anything beyond that.”

Rosenior’s managerial journey began in November 2022 when he took charge at Hull City. Since then, he has continued to build his reputation, making him a subject of discussion as Chelsea evaluate their next move.
