‘I Pray This New Year Grants Him Clarity of Purpose’ – Kwankwaso Celebrates Gov Yusuf Amid Political Shifts

Former Kano State Governor and leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has extended warm birthday wishes to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, reflecting on their enduring political partnership and offering heartfelt prayers for his continued success.

Kwankwaso shared the message on his official 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday, commending Governor Yusuf for his dedication to the Kwankwasiyya movement and his contributions to the development of Kano State over the years.

“On this day, I celebrate the birthday of the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf,” he wrote.

Recalling their shared political journey, Kwankwaso highlighted the governor’s progression through various roles under his leadership—from Personal Assistant to Commissioner—before ultimately assuming the office of the state’s chief executive.

“I reflect on the many years of our political partnership, during which he served in several key positions: first as my Personal Assistant in my initial term, later as Minister, then as Principal Private Assistant, followed by Commissioner in my second term, and now as Governor,” he stated.

The former Defence Minister praised Yusuf for advancing the vision of their shared political ideology and implementing programs aimed at improving the welfare of Kano’s citizens.

“Through these roles, he contributed significantly to the vision and initiatives we pursued for the development of Kano State,” Kwankwaso added.

He concluded the message with a prayer for guidance and clarity in the governor’s leadership.

“I pray that this new year brings him wisdom, good health, and a clear sense of purpose,” Kwankwaso said.
