‘I Sincerely Commend Him’ — Deji Adeyanju Applauds Wike Calls for Public Support

Human rights advocate and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has called on Nigerians to recognise and support the efforts of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for his work on the ongoing Apo–Karshi Road construction in Abuja.

The Apo–Karshi Road serves as a major transport corridor connecting areas of the FCT with Nasarawa State. Upon completion, the project is expected to ease traffic congestion and significantly improve accessibility for residents and commuters using the route.

Adeyanju highlighted the long-standing challenges surrounding the project and praised Wike’s dedication in pushing it towards completion.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the activist, who is known for his outspoken criticism of the former Rivers State governor, acknowledged the speed and quality of work currently being carried out on the road.

“Even as a consistent critic of Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister, I must sincerely commend him for the remarkable speed and level of work ongoing on the Apo–Karshi Road,” Adeyanju said.

He noted that the road had been under construction for several years with minimal progress until recent developments.

“That road has been under construction for years with little advancement, and the current pace and quality of work are both visible and commendable. Credit should be given where it is due,” he added.
