Nigerian rapper Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, has revealed why he prefers not to invest in emerging artistes.
Speaking on the Adesope Live show, Zlatan explained that backing up-and-coming talents is a risky venture, and he is uncertain whether such investments would yield returns.
He stressed that his focus in the music industry is primarily on business and achieving financial stability.
“I will rather go buy a house than put money on artistes I’m not sure will be successful,” Zlatan said. “The reason I am making music is for financial stability. My goal is to be responsible and secure. In the beginning of my career, I wasn’t balanced; I suffered from pressure and anxieties.”
Despite this, Zlatan affirmed that he remains open to collaborations with upcoming artistes, noting that he received similar support during the early stages of his own career.
In a separate discussion with fans on Snapchat, the father of one also revealed that he quit smoking about four years ago.
He shared that questions about his smoking habits come up frequently, but he made a personal decision to stop and has no issue with those who still smoke.
