Ikorodu City Move Closer to NPFL Top Spot with Away Win Over Warri Wolves

Ikorodu City kept their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title ambitions alive on Sunday, claiming a 2-0 victory away at Warri Wolves. The result moved them closer to the league summit and extended their unbeaten run.

Tomisin Adebayo opened the scoring for the Oga Boys in the 18th minute at Ozoro Stadium, before Goodluck Anuba doubled the lead just before half-time to secure all three points.

This win marks seven matches unbeaten for Ikorodu City, with four victories in their last five NPFL outings. The result sees them sit third on the league table with 21 points, two behind leaders Nasarawa United and one adrift of Abia Warriors in second place.

Wikki Tourists 1-0 Niger Tornadoes: In Bauchi, Nasiru Jibrin scored late in the 87th minute to secure victory for Wikki Tourists. The win moved them to 12th place with 16 points, level with Shooting Stars and just one behind Rangers.
Kano Pillars 0-0 Bayelsa United: At their temporary home in Katsina, Kano Pillars continued to struggle, managing only a goalless draw. The former champions remain bottom of the table with six points from 11 matches.
