Renowned Nigerian gospel singer Sola Allyson has shared new details about her marriage, revealing that she and her husband no longer live together.

Speaking in a candid interview on Oyinmomo TV, the 54-year-old artiste—famous for her hit album Eji Owuro—confirmed that although she is still married, they maintain separate residences.

“I’m married, but I’m not in my husband’s house. We live separately,” she said, opening up about her personal life and marital journey.

Allyson reflected on her experiences in love and marriage, admitting that she has not enjoyed the kind of happiness many people associate with a romantic partnership. When asked whether she experienced true love, especially considering the themes in Eji Owuro, she responded frankly: “We lied before. Those older than us didn’t tell us the truth. They made us believe that love automatically guarantees happiness, but it’s not true.”

She added that her reality did not match the “happily ever after” narrative often portrayed in society. “That’s not the experience I have. I didn’t live happily ever after. I did everything I could to make it work,” she said.
