Nigerian singer Oludipe David, popularly known as Spyro, has revealed that he does not rely solely on music for his livelihood.

The “Who Is Your Guy” star explained that he has built a secure financial foundation, noting that a large portion of his income comes from performances at corporate events rather than traditional industry shows.

Speaking at the Adesope Live show, Spyro highlighted that his music appeals to a wide audience, making him a preferred choice for banks, corporate organisations, and prominent figures such as Tony Elumelu during end-of-year functions.

He added that his modest lifestyle often leads people to underestimate his financial success.

“If I stop making music today, I’m set for life,” Spyro said. “Many don’t realize it because I don’t boast. I focus on corporate shows, not industry gigs. My niche allows me to get bookings from organisations seeking clean, family-friendly music. Only a few artists, like Chike and Johnny Drille, are in that category.”

Beyond performing, Spyro revealed that he has invested wisely to secure his future outside of music.
